G.L. "Sam" McCommack, 82, of Marmet died Saturday, Aug. 3, 1996, at home after a short illness. He retired from DuPont, Belle, and was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a member of the DuPont Belle Plant Club. He owned and operated McCommack's Bicycle Shop, Marmet. Surviving: wife, Katherine "Kay" McCommack of Marmet; sisters, Mildred Walker of Marmet, Betty Pundt of Spring Hill, Fla.; brothers, Harley of St. Albans, Frank of Charleston, Emil of Marmet. Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet, with the Rev. Kent Lowther and the Rev. Wayne Chambers officiating. Burial will will be in Marmet Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 8129. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
