KESZLER, Robert (Bob) L. -- Of Monmouth Oregon, went to be with his Lord on Monday, October 7, 2002. He was born August 17, 1924 in Kief, North Dakota to Peter and Bertha (Rauschenberger) Keszler. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1943-1945 with an honorable discharge in 1946. He was a member of the American Legion, the Moose Lodge and a volunteer at the Veterans Hospital in Roseburg, Oregon. Bob enjoyed many things in life, one was the love for his pipe and tobacco. He was an avid bowler and member of the Indian Lanes Match Club. He loved playing pinochle, a good game of cribbage, and working out at the gym. Bob was an incredible craftsman when it came to working with wood and always took great pride in how green his lawn was and how beautiful his plants were. Robert (Bob, husband, father, grandpa, and friend) was loved and will truly be missed. He is survived by his wife, Edith and son, Steven Keszler of Monmouth; daughter, Cynthia Dutton of Independence, Oregon; three grandsons, Gerald "Jerry" Dutton of Monmouth, Jesse Gray of Independence, and Brandon Keszler of Davenport, Iowa; sister, Emma Isaak of Hood River; and a niece he considered a sister, Arlene Cook of Roseburg. Services will be held Friday, October 11, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at RESTLAWN FUNERAL HOME, Salem, Oregon. Visitation will be Thursday, October 10, 2002 at 2:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. and Friday, October 11, 2002 9:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. at Restlawn Funeral Home.
