  The Beckley Register-Herald, Beckley, WV, Online Edition, 24 Jan 2012 BELLWOOD — Shirley Blagg Lance, 75, of Bellwood, passed away Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at home. Born March 18, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Cecil Fury and the late Mildred A. Gilkerson Fury. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Corty Blagg Sr., and her second husband, Alfred Lance Sr. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathryn Tuck, and two brothers, Jack and John Fury. Survivors include: two daughters, Joyce Hedrick and husband, Don, of Layland, and Lora Gwinn of Rainelle; three sons, James Corty Blagg Jr., and wife, Carolyn, of Alabama, and William Keith Blagg and Herbert Lee Blagg, both of Bellwood; two sisters, Betty Finlin and Martha Fox; one brother, David Fury; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside services and burial will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, with Pastor Bennie Kenney officiating. There will be no visitation. It was Shirley's request that in lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory be made to the church or charity of your choice. Wallace & Wallace, Rainelle, is handling the arrangements.
