QUINWOOD ? Emmogene Grace Gillespie, 79, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at Princeton Community Hospital following a long illness.
Born Nov. 3, 1926, at Quinwood, she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Hettie Ann Anderson Jones.
Mrs. Gillespie was a homemaker and a member of Quinwood Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy A. Gillespie, and her son, Freddie L. Gillespie.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Weis of Princeton, who has worked for more than 30 years for the Mercer County Board of Education, and Deborah Kirtley and husband, Rodney, of Hurricane; a sister, Edith O?Dell of Quinwood; a grandson, Byron Kirtley and wife, Tanisa, of Barboursville; a granddaughter, Christinia McCune of Scott Depot; a great-grandson, Jordan M-chael Kirtley; and a great-granddaughter, Jillyan Grace McCune.
Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Smathers Funeral Chapel, Rainelle, with the Rev. Houston Boothe officiating. Entombment will be in Wallace Memorial Mausoleum, Clintonville. Service will conclude with the release of the White Flights.
Friends may call noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
