  The Charleston Daily Mail, Tuesday, 16 July 1968 Greenbrier Boy Leukemia Victim EAST RAINELLE - Gene Ray Hunter, 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hunter of Kieffer, Greenbrier County, died of leukemia Monday in University Hospital, Charlottesville, Va. A sixth grade student at Rupert Elementary School, he held membership in Beaver Creek Baptist Church. Also surviving: sisters, Garnet, Gwenda, Gala, and Galenda at home, Mrs. Gilda Burns of Crawley; brothers, Gilmer of Parkersburg, Gaynel of Sidney, Ohio, Glen and Gerald of Crawley, Granville at home. Service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Beaver Creek Baptist Church, the Rev. L. Crane and the Rev. S. E. Kessler officiating. Burial will be in Burns Cemetery. The body is at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home here.
