KIEFFER - Granville C. Hunter, 62, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, at his home following a long illness.
Born April 18, 1944, at Kieffer, he was the son of the late Ray Hunter and Mildred Crookshanks Hunter of Kieffer.
Mr. Hunter was a logger and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Garnet Gilkeson, and two brothers, Gene and Gary Hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Heaster Hunter; two daughters, Darla Hunter of Clearwater, Fla., Candy Hunter of Ronceverte; a stepdaughter, Gina Burns Knapp of Montvale, Va.; four brothers, Gilmer of Kieffer, Glen and wife, Dorothy, of Crawley, Gaynel and wife, Linda, of Kieffer and Gerald and wife, Jenny, of Crawley; four sisters, Gilda Carey and husband, Ed, of Crawley, Galena Knapp and husband, Tim, of Rupert, Gwenda Heaster and husband, Doug, of Crawley and Gala Sheppard of Kieffer; a step grandson, Jordan Taylor; a step granddaughter, Elizabeth Pike; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. today at Burns Cemetery, Kieffer, with Pastor Charles Meadows officiating.
There will be no visitation.
