O. McCoy was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma June 12, 1919, and died at Delhart, Texas, Sept. 28, 1920. of Summer Complaint after a weeks illness. The parents brought the body on Wednesday to Waynoka and the funeral was held from Mrs. McCoy's old home in Cottonwood Township, nine miles Northwest, the residence of her father, Mr. J. N. Hillman. Services were conducted by Rev. Samuel Pearson of the Congregational Church and a choir of the old neighbors sang appropriate hymns at both the residence and the Cemetery. Interment was in the I. O. O. F. Cemetery in the family lot by the side of the Grandmother. A goodly number of friends attended the services and expressed in many ways their sympathy with Mr. and Mrs. McCoy, over the lose of their beautiful and only child.
