Wilma Louise Hanson Sharrer, 79, of Westminster died Sunday, February 9, 2014 at her home.

Born on May 13, 1934 in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Martha Armentrout Hanson. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Sharrer, husband of 54 years, who died June 4, 2011.

She was a 1952 graduate of Westminster High School and a bookkeeper and collection agent with a finance company in Westminster. She also helped on the family farm well into her mid 70's and was a caretaker of many. She enjoyed collecting teddy bears, baking, and was an avid gardener.

She was a life-long, active member of Deer Park United Methodist Church.

Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law Lisa and Vince Kilduff of Westminster and Laurie Jo and Rick Shuping of Landis, NC; siblings Earl "Sonny" Hanson of Reisterstown, Emma Beaver of Silver Run, Duane Hanson and Debbie Hanson both of Westminster and Daryl Hanson of Littlestown, PA. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews on whom she doted.

She was predeceased by a sister, Thelma Hanson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 6 to 8pm at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Officiating will be her pastor, Rev. Patricia Dols. Interment will be in Keysville Union Cemetery.
