Harold A. Martin New Windsor Harold Albert Martin, 57, of New Windsor, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at his home. He was the husband of Linda Carol (Carr) Martin of New Windsor for 38 years.
Born May 1, 1943, in Portsmouth, Va., he was the son of the late James Archie and Vicie Hanson Martin.
He was a professional truck driver for 35 years, and a member of Church of the Open Door in Westminster. He graduated from Francis Scott Key High School, Class of 1962.
Surviving also are two sons, Robert N. Martin of New Windsor and David D. Martin of Union Bridge; one daughter, Stephanie J. Brown of Hampstead; three brothers, James Martin of Gettysburg, Pa., Robert Martin of Westminster, Harlan Martin of Silver Run; two sisters, Virginia Hoff of Westminster and Helen Loar of Fort Ashley, W.Va.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Gregory Martin, who died May 17, 1994.
The service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of the Open Door, 550 Baltimore Blvd., Westminster, with Pastor Norris E. Belcher Jr. officiating, and with Pastor Larry Staner, Pastor Richard Grammer and Pastor Chuck Buettner assisting. Burial will be in Bethel Methodist Cemetery in New Windsor. Friends may call at Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (beside South Carroll High School) today and Friday from 2 to and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday at the church from 1 to 2 p.m.
