Burial will be in Sharon Memorial Park. Smith, of 1415 Herrin Ave., died Sunday at Charlotte Community Hospital. He was a retired supervisor for Highland Park Manufacturing Co., retiring after 40 years. Smith was also an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Stella; one son, Wallace of Charlotte; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Teeter of Charlotte; two brothers, Jesse of Wilmington, Del. and Clarence of Hendersonville; three sisters, Clara Humphries of Cliffside, Dora Stutts of Charlotte and Mrs. Carrie Rudisail of Grier, S.C.; and two grandchildren.
