  Hinton News, Hinton, WV, Tuesday, 14 Jun 1988, p. 3, col. A, "Obituaries" Benjamin Harold Akers, 19, died Thursday, June 9, near Smoot in a one-vehicle accident, according to state police spokesman at the Rainelle detachment. Born November 27, 1968, at Hinton, he was the son of Robert Harold and Frances McCutheon Akers of Grassy Meadows. Mr. Akers was formerly employed by Winn Dixie in North Carolina and was of the Jehovah's Witness faith. He was preceded in death by a sister, Robin Akers, on June 13, 1987. Other survivors include two sisters, Tabatha Thomas of Ferrum, Va., and Jamie Akers at home; and maternal grandmother, Dova McCutcheon of Leivasy. Services were held Sunday June 12 at Wallace Chapel in Rainelle with Speaker Curtis Guyer officiating. Burial followed in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville.
