Jennings Floyd Martin
Smoot - Jennings Floyd Martin, 76, died January 13, 1993 at his home following a long illness.
Born September 18, 1916 at Smoot, he was the son of the late Howard and Elsie Haley Martin.
Mr. Martin was a former employee of Meadow River Lumber Company, a retired maintenance employee of The Greenbrier Hotel, a World War II Army verteran, member of John Page VFW Post, Rainelle and was a Methodist.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Zimmerman.
Survivors include his wife, Monzetha Jones Martin; a daughter, Charlene Polk of Shady Spring; son Arlan Floyd Martin of Smoot; three brothers, George Martin of Alderson, Murl and Carl Martin, both of Smoot; four grandchildren.
Services were at Smathers Funeral Home Chapel, Rainelle with Reverend Steve Thomas officiating. Burial followed in Sunrise Chapel Cemetery, Clintonville. Visitation was at the funeral home.
