RAINELLE — Stephen Ray Golden, Jr., 39, of Rainelle, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011.
Born May 15, 1971, in Rockford, Illinois, he was the son of Stephen R. and Debra K. Tincher Golden, Sr.
Stephen was a welder by trade and an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, and tinkering with automobiles; and spending time with his sons.
Preceding him in death are his paternal grandparents Victor and Barbara McClung Golden; his maternal grandparents Curtis and Madaline Loudermilk Tincher; and his maternal uncle David Alan Tincher.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his sons Christian and Austin Golden of Lookout; his brother Jason Golden of Virginia Beach, Virginia; aunts and uncles Stanley Golden (Patti), Vicky Blue (Terry), Mike Golden, Nila Lytle (Steve), Richard Tincher (Carmella) and Jim Tincher; and a host of cousins.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Friday, May 13, at Smathers Funeral Chapel in Rainelle with his uncle Steve Lytle, his boss David Chrisman, and uncle Stanley Golden leading the memorial. As Stephen requested, the body was cremated.
Friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
