Ray Lee Neff, Jr. of Middlebourne, West Virginia
March 26, 1955 - October 23, 2023
Ray L. Neff, Jr., 68, of Middlebourne, WV passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023, surrounded by his family.
Ray, fondly known as "Junior", was born March 26, 1955, in New Martinsville, WV son of the late Ray and Dorothy (Stump) Neff.
Junior was a loving son, brother, partner, father and pap. He is survived by his two sons, Sean and Ray III, each of their families, and his partner of 33 years, Carolyn Blymire of York, PA and her family including her children and their grandchildren. Sean, of Paden City, WV and his wife, Erica (Elliott) Neff, and they have two sons, Blake and Brody Neff. Ray III, of Middlebourne, WV and his wife, Anne (Potts) Neff and they have a son, Bryer and a daughter, Willow.
Junior is also survived by brothers, Danny of Winchester, VA; Richard of Middlebourne, WV; William of Huttonsville, WV; James of New Martinsville, WV and sister, Brenda Derby of Rayland, OH.
Junior loved watching NASCAR and dirt track races, which took place on Sundays. He enjoyed maintaining his flower bed and growing tomatoes. Junior was very passionate about the outdoors and passed that down to his sons, and grandchildren; they often took buggy rides to scout for deer. His grandchildren were his world. He enjoyed watching them all play in the creek, checking trail cameras together, and watching them pick his flowers when permitted.
Friends received noon until 2 p.m., Sunday, November 5, 2023 at the Furbee-Williams Funeral Home, 217 Main St., Middlebourne, WV with burial to follow in Middlebourne Cemetery.
