Jasper Crane was a magistrate and a merchant. His autograph appears in a published volume of the Magistrates of New Haven and Connecticut. His third son, Azariah, married Mary, daughter of Governor Robert Treat. Their second son married Phebe Lamson (or Samson); and their seventh son, Stephen, married Rhoda Halloway, sister of Elizabeth Halloway, his brother Ezekiel's wife. Ezekiel Crane was taken prisoner at Oswego, New York, by the French and Indians and died in Canada.
