MEADOW BRIDGE ? Ellen W. Forren, 60, of Meadow Bridge, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2007, at her home following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born March 17, 1947, in Clifton Forge, Va., she was the daughter of Margaret Fleshman Whisman of Rainelle and the late Herchel E. Whisman.
Mrs. Forren was a homemaker and a member of Meadow Bridge Baptist Church. She loved her church and her church family.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Roy Lee ?Sam? Forren Sr.; a son, Roy Lee ?Lucky? Forren Jr. and wife, Annette, of Meadow Bridge; four brothers, Pastor Mike Whisman and wife, Myrna, of Rainelle, H.E. ?Jake? Whisman Jr. and wife, Candice, of Rainelle, Gene Whisman and wife, Janet, of Orient Hill and Joel ?Jody? Whisman and wife, Kathy, of Rupert; three grandchildren, Kacie, Shane and Chance Forren of Meadow Bridge; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at Patton Memorial Cemetery, Meadow Bridge, with her brother, Pastor Mike Whisman, officiating.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations of sympathy by made to the Meadow Bridge Baptist Church Building Fund, Box 331, Meadow Bridge, WV 25976.
