Elden Gene Stalnaker, 55, of Huntsville, AL died November 11, 1986 of a sudden heart attack.
He was born at Weston, a son of Mary Stalnaker of McGuire Park and the late Schley Stalnaker.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, a son, a daughter, a stepson, a brother, Madison Rex Stalnaker and three sisters, Mescal Collins of Weston, Mrs. Harry (Tommy) Allman of Elberton, GA and Mrs. Roy (Elsie) Payton of Milton.
Mr. Stalnaker retired with 35 years of service from the G.C. Murphy Company. Upon his retirement, he was employed with the Yeildings Department Store in Huntsville, AL. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and was a Mason and a Shriner. He was a Methodist.
Funeral services were held Friday, November 14, at 10 a.m. at the Valhalla Memorial Gardens Chapel in Huntsville, AL with the Rev. David Blakeney officiating.

Local and Area Deaths
Gene Stalnaker Gene Stalnaker, 55, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Valhalla Memory Gardens Chapel with the Rev. David Blakeney officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Stalnaker was a native of West Virginia and a resident of Huntsville for nine years. He was a former employee of the C.C. Murphy Co. and most recently employed with Yeildings Department Store.
He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and was a Mason and a Shriner. Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Stalnaker; a son, Randy Stalnaker Huntsville; a daughter, Sheree Miller of Tuscaloosa; stepson, Chad Hester of Huntsville; his mother, Mary Stalnaker of West Virginia; a brother, Madison Stalnaker of West Virginia; and three sisters, Mescal Collins and Elsie Payton, both of West Virginia, and Windferd Allman of Georgia.
