  The Charleston Gazette, Charleston, WV, 4 February 1995 GERTRUDE MORTON, 82, OF RUPERT DIED FEB . 2, 1995, in a Low Moor, Va., hospital after a long illness. She was a homemaker and a member of Bascom United Methodist Church, Rupert. Surviving: daughter, Peggy Morton of Rupert; sisters, Marie Morris of Rainelle, Violet Walkup and Cuma Mace, both of Charmco; three grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Smathers Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. Sterling Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
