RUPERT - Jimmie Lee Crist, 35, of Rupert, passed away at his home on Monday, May 5, 2008, from a sudden illness.
Born Aug. 28, 1972, in Ronceverte, he was the son of the late Roger Dalton Crist and Lucy Ellen Dorsey Crist.
Jimmie was a disabled carpenter and a drummer. He was a member of Duo Community Baptist Church.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandparents, William and Mildred Dorsey and Ronald and Maxine Crist; two uncles, Forrest ?Bud? Dorsey and Jimmie L. Crist; and two aunts, Brenda Crist Hanshew and Peggy Dorsey.
Survivors include his fiancée, Holly King of Rupert; his mother, Lucy Crist of Rupert; two daughters, Morgan Cook of Lewisburg and Brooklyn Crist of Rupert; a stepdaughter, Payton Williams of Rupert; a son, Chandler Crist of Rupert; a sister, Melanie Crist and companion, Jeff Myers, of Rainelle; a brother, Roger Lee Crist and wife, Tracy, of Crawley; two aunts, Sandy Crist of Rainelle and Delva Moore and husband, Charlie, of Nettie; five nieces, Tiera, Sasha, Lacy, Trinity and Ashley; two nephews, Justin and Cory; and a great-niece, Rylee.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 11, at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle, with Pastor Mark Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
