Lindsey Nicole Raines, 19, of Rainelle, passed away on Dec. 12, 2006, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, after a sudden illness.
Born April 6, 1987, in Low Moor, Va., she was the loving daughter of Paul and Vicky Raines, also of Rainelle.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, F.E. ?Gene? Nelson and her paternal grandmother, Norma K. Raines, both of Rainelle.
In addition to her parents, survivors include her maternal grandmother, Ruby Nelson; uncles, F. E. ?Sonny? Nelson of Covington, Va., Gary Nelson and wife, Carolyn, of McAllister, Okla.; one aunt, Susan Gwinn and her husband, Gary, of Rainelle; and cousins, Cher Johnson of Troutville, Va., and Cody Nelson of McAllister, Okla. Lindsey was recently engaged to Jamey P. Walker of Lookout and had begun making preparations for their happy life together. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Employed since 2004 at New River Gorge Harley-Davidson, she was also a student in the nursing program at Mountain State University.
Lindsey had many interests and hobbies including a great love of animals, the outdoors, and riding her Harley-Davidson motorcycle with her fiancé who will be completely lost without her.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle, with the Reverend Bennie Kenney officiating. Burial will follow at the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
Serving as pallbearers will be Stewart Arbuckle, Leo ?Rocky? Belcher, Charles ?Chuck? Kessler, Mike ?Rocco? LaRocco, Matt Walker, Glenn Thompson, Wayne Workman and Clarence ?Tink? Gillespie.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle.
