CRAWLEY - Paul Richard Boggs Sr., 84, died early Thursday morning, July 31, 2008, at his home following a long illness.
Born July 9, 1924, at Rainelle, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Boggs.
Paul was the owner of Paul's Auto Sales and Rainelle Real Estate of Rainelle, and enjoyed playing golf.
Survivors include his wife, Glenna Simms Boggs of Crawley; two daughters, Barbara Patterson and husband, Larry, of Alpharetta, Ga., and Debra McClung of Lewisburg; a son, Paul Richard "Dickie" Boggs Jr. and wife, Donna, of Crawley; two sisters, Gladys Hanson of Baltimore, Md., and Laura Darby of Huntington; seven grandchildren, Scott Patterson (Terri) of Fairfax, Va., Melanie Pasternak (Eric) of Schuylerville, N.Y., Mandy Kopp (Chris) of Fairfax, Va., Brittany Boggs of Crawley, Paul Richard "Ricky" Boggs III (Kristin) of Athens, Ga., Justin McClung of Lewisburg, and Christopher McClung (Angie) of Alpharetta, Ga.; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, at the Wallace Memorial Mausoleum Chapel in Clintonville. Entombment will follow immediately after the service in Wallace Memorial Mausoleum.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service Sunday at the mausoleum chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations of sympathy be made to: WV Chapter Alzheimer's Association, 1111 Lee St., Charleston, WV 25301.
