  The Beckley Post-Herald, Beckley, WV, 22 December 1972 Rites Incomplete For John O'Dell RAINELLE (RNS) ? John William O'Dell, 67, of Rainelle died Thursday afternoon at his home after a long illness. Born Aug. 14, 1905, at Paint Creek, he was a son of the late Joseph and Henrietta Barlow O'Dell. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Annette Thayer of Newark, N. J., and Mrs. Mary Phipps of Rainelle, and one brother, Thomas E. of Rainelle. He was a lifelong, resident of Rainelle and was a retired coal miner and farmer. The body is at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Rainelle.
