James Lewis Milam, 62, of Wyco, was dead on arrival Saturday morning at a Mullens hospital after a short illness.
Born Jan. 7, 1915, he was a son of the late Lewis and Millie Grose Milam.
Mr. Milam had lived at Wyco for 20 years, was a retired coal miner and a member of the Original Church of God at Tams.
Surving are his wife, Zola Jane Milam; a daughter, Mrs. Janice Polk, Chicago, Ill.; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Betty Copeland and Mrs. Mary Jane Carr, both of Rainelle, Mrs. Deanna Cecil, Wyco, Mrs. Ann Moose, Statesville, N. C. and Zada Milam, Bradley; three stepsons, Roy Ingram, Wyco, Robert of Quinwood and James of Inmann; two sisters, Mrs. Peggy Mills, Soak Creek and Mrs. Hulda Walton, Crab Orchard; two brothers, John and Howard Milam, both of Ury; 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Tams Church of God with the Revs. Frank Brooks and Billy Dalton officiating. Burial will be in the Tams Mountain Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Sam Foglesong Funeral Home, Mullens.
