Bridal Shower Honors Local Girl To Be Married Today
The Civic Room of the Bank of Raleigh was the scene Thursday for a bridal shower honoring Miss Irma McGuire.
Miss McGuire will be married today to Guy Amato of 513 Maxwell Hill Road. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. McGuire, Harper Road and her fiance is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Amato, Pemberton.
Hostesses for the affair were Mrs. E. E. Kenney, Mrs. D. C. Triggs and Mrs. J. P. Lannan.
The gift table was covered with a white linen cloth and centered with an arrangement of red roses and white chrysanthemums with greenery. The serving tables were covered with white linen cloths and featured pink tapers in crystal holders with china and silver appointments.
Attending were Mrs. E. E. Kenney Jr., Mrs. Johnny Scott, Mrs. Wilbur Cook, Mrs. Jimmy McGuire, Mrs. W. W. West, Mrs. Charles Arnott, Mrs. Sam S. Evans, Mrs. J. B. Scaggs, Mrs. Anthony DeMaori, Mrs. Frank Rasso, Mrs. Carl Mann, Mrs. E. L. Allenbaugh, Mrs. William Elkins, Mrs. Fred Bonham and the honoree's mother.
