RUPERT - Roy Knapp, 82, of Rupert, Greenbrier County, died Wednesday in Greenbrier Valley Hospital, Fairlea, after a long illness. He was a World War I veteran and a retired sawmill operator. Surviving: daughters, Mrs. Marie Powers of Rupert, Mrs. Mary Shortridge of Quinwood; sons, Johnnie of Rupert, Virgil of Wheaton, Ill. 11 grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Wallace-Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle, with the Rev. Houston Boothe officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
