BERRYVILLE, Va. - Gladys Agnes Brown, 85, died Thursday, February 28, 2002, at Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Winchester, Va. Born April 19, 1916, in Ravenseye, she was the daughter of the late Myrth B. and Stella Amick Callison. She was married to the late Frank Elliot Brown who preceded her in death after 38 years of marriage. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a caregiver. She was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church in Ansted, WSCS Circle #2, Ansted Women's Democratic Society, and the EMCO Chorus. She was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma C. Foster and three brothers, Frantz Boone "Bill," George Henry, and Fenton Callison. Surviving are three daughters, Beverly J. Bragg of Milton, Billie Casey of Berryville, Va., Kathy Parish of Arlington, Va.; one son, Donald Brown of Wigram, N.C.; four sisters, Elizabeth Skaggs of Ansted, Helen Hudson of Fayetteville, Mary Louise Maroney of Charleston, and Martha Ann Thornton of Beckley; seven grandchildren, Charles, Kenneth, & Keith Casey, Dawn Ellison, Christopher & Michael Bragg, & Sada Parish, and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2002 at Minnie Belle Church on Corliss Road which is located 9 miles west of Rainelle, on Route 60 (Midland Trail). Memorial contributions may be made to the Adult Care Center, 115 Wolfe St., Winchester, VA 22601 or the Alzheimers Association. Arrangements are being handled by Enders & Shirley Funeral Home in Berryville, Va.
