Dover woman killed near East Berlin
EAST BERLIN - A two-car accident in York County near East Berlin killed one driver and injured another
around 9:45 a.m. Friday, according to a spokesman for Northern Regional Police.
Susan Carol Crane of Dover K. 1 was pronounced dead at the scene by the York County coroner. She had been driving southwest on Canal Street and evidently failed to stop at a stop sign, the spokesman said.
Her vehicle collided with a car operated by John D. Piho of East Berlin R. 2. who was traveling west on East Berlin Road. Piho was taken by the East Berlin Ambulance to York Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released, according to a hospital spokesman.
The police spokesman said that both vehicles, a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro and a 1980 Oldsmobile, were totalled.
The East Berlin Fire Company assisted at the scene.
