FORT WASHINGTON, Md. - Sue Smith Pomeroy, 77, of Fort Washington, formerly of Lewisburg, W.Va., died April 2, 1997, in Fort Washington Hospital after a four-month illness.
She was a member of Lewisburg United Methodist Church.
Surviving: sons, John Edward Jr. of Fayetteville, N.C., Sammy Jack of Fredericksburg, Va.; daughters, Carrie Gail Walker of Fort Washington, Brenda Lou Nunley of Lewisburg, Virginia Lee Robinson of Lincoln Park, Mich.; brother, Wallace Eston Smith of Delta, Pa.; sisters, Virginia Twilley of Pennsville, N.J., Clara Watson of Sykesville; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Lewisburg United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Steven Engle officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, W.Va. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home, Lewisburg, where a 7:30 p.m. service will be held.
