Rites Saturday For C. G. Brown
NETTIE (RNS) — Clarence Gilbert Brown, 68, of Nettie died Thursday morning at his home.
Born July 17, 1900, at Bruce, he was a son of the late Charlie and Mildred Jeffries Brown.
He was a member of the Baptist Church, a retired coal miner and had been resident of Nettie for about 22 years.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Murphey Brown; a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Warren of Richwood; two sons, Chilton of North Canton, Ohio, and Huling of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Archie Higgins of Lookout and nine grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Beckley Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Lawrence Dorsey and Rev. Thomas Shaver in charge. Burial will be at the Fields Cemetery at Nettie.
The body will be taken from the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in East Rainelle to the home it 6 p.m. today and will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
