LEWISBURG ? Frances McClung, 99, passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, at Greenbrier Manor in Fairlea.
Born Dec. 19, 1909, at Marlinton, Frances was the daughter of the late Samuel and Emma Ridgeway Carr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest McClung; a son, Sam McClung; a sister, Stella Chiodi; a brother, Randolph; and a grandson.
Frances was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Rebekah Lodge, and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include sons, Wayne MacCartney and wife, Shirley, of Irvine, Calif., and Bill McClung and companion, Loretta, of Winter Haven, Fla.; a daughter, Josephine O?Brien and husband, Pete, of Ronceverte; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Vida Boggs of Lewisburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with the Rev. Donnie Weikle officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens, Lewisburg.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
