Funeral services for Roy Lee Morris, 59, Meadow Bridge, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Meadow Bridge Holness Church with the Rev. Dallas Fitzwater and Rev. Thomas Shaffer in charge. Burial will be in the Patton Cemetery at Meadow Bridge.
Morris, a lifelong resident of Meadow Bridge, died Saturday afternoon in a Hinton hospital after an extended illness.
Born Dec. 4, 1907 at Wise, Va., he was a son of the late Eugene and Ida Miller Morris. A retired coal miner, he was a member of the Holiness Church.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Jones Morris; a daughter, Mrs. Sue Ann Posten, Covington, Va,; a son, Robert Lee, Lewisburg; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Goddard, Sullivan, Mrs. Gladys Ragaho, Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Goldie Hayes, Miamisburg, Ohio; two brothers, Claude, Meadow Bridge, and Harvey, East Rainelle and four grandchildren.
The body will be taken from the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Rainelle to the church an hour before the service. (RNS)
