  Beckley Post-Herald, Beckley, WV, 19 November 1962 Rupert Boy Dies Following Wreck RUPERT (RNS) - Arnold Gene Crookshanks, 17, died en route to a Ronceverte hospital Sunday morning from injuries received in a car accident at Hines about 1:30 a.m. He was a student at Rupert High School. Born Feb. 24, 1945, at East Rainelle, he was the son of R. B. and Thelma Ramley Crookshanks of Rupert. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Nelda McClaskie of Rupert; two brothers, Dale, stationed with the Army in France, and Delbert of Rupert; the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Remley of Rupert; and the paternal grandmother, Mrs. Cleo Dillon of Rhodes, Mich. The body is at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Chapel in East Rainelle. Arrangements are incomplete. Beckley Post-Herald, Beckley, WV, 20 November 1962 Funeral Thursday For Rupert Youth RUPERT (RNS) - Funeral services for Arnold Gene Crookshanks, 17, will be conducted at 2 p. m. Thursday in the Rupert High School Gymnasium with the Rev. J. H. Quesenberry and the Rev. Leroy Crane in charge. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery near Ciintonville. Crookshanks died en route to a Ronceverte hospital Sunday following a car accident at Hines. The body will remain at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home Chapel in East Rainelle and will be taken to the gymnasium one hour prior to the funeral.
