  Beckley Post-Herald, 8 January 1974 Rites Set Today For F. M. Dowdy FORT SPRINGS (RNS) - Forrest Marshall Dowdy, 54, of Fort Springs was dead on arrival Sunday morning at a Ronceverte hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Fort Springs and was a member of the Baptist Church. Dowdy was a foreman for the Acme Limestone Company. Survivors include his wife, Beatrice; a daughter, Mrs. Joann Conner of Flint, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Lovilla Holcomb of Alderson and Mrs. Marylin Barger of Waterloo, Iowa, and five grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today in the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home Chapel in Ronceverte with Rev. L. L. McDaniel and Rev. Nathaniel Johnson in charge. Burial will be in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg.
