The Passing of Marion Blagg

Word has been received here of the death of Marion Blagg, formerly of this community, by his nephew, Harrison Blagg. Below is a clipping from a La Junta paper:

Marion L Blagg passed away at his home 422 Harriett avenue, yesterday afternoon after a week's illness.

Mr. Blagg was born in Braxton county, W. Va., January 14, 1874, being 61 years, 9 months and 10 days old at death. At the age of 26 he was united in marriage to Miss Rebecca Stinson, at Topeka, Kan. Feb. 4, 1900, and to this union were born six children, one of whom preceded him in death 15 years ago. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Mrs. Rebecca Blagg of La Junta; two daughters, Mrs. W. M. Weatherman and Mrs. W. J. Carter and 3 sons, Robert S. Blagg and Gilbert I. Blagg all of La Junta; and Charles M. Blagg, Tonopah, Nevada, and 7 grandchildren. He also leaves four brothers, George Blagg, Pueblo; John Blagg, El Reno, Okla.; Henry and Gordon Blagg in West Virginia, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Hamilton, Burnsville, W. Va. Mr. Blagg was a member of the Methodist church and a faithful attendant.

He had been in the taxi business in La Junta for the past ten years and had made a host of friends during that time.

The remains are being cared for at the Green mortuary and funeral arrangements will be announced later.
