John Lee Crane, 83, of Rupert, passed away Friday, November 28, 2008, in the Heartland of Rainelle, following a long illness.
Born on August 30, 1925 in Crawley, he was the son of the late John R. and Ileta Selvey Crane.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Edward Ebbets Crane.
Survivors include four sisters, Evelyn Jean Zopp of Rupert, Mary Louise Snuffer of Maiden, NC, Amy Ruth Mann of Germantown, Ohio, and Elizabeth Ann Cardoza of Rupert.
Services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, November 30, 2008, at Smathers Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Allen Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville.
Friends may call one hour before the service from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
