MRS. CORA MCCLUNG ELWELL, 88, OF Fayetteville, Fayette County, died Monday in Summers County Continuous Care Center after a long illness. She was a native of Dawson, Greenbrier County and was a retired school teacher. She was a member of Fayetteville Baptist Church, Eastern Star and Fayette County Retired Teachers Association. Surviving: son, the Rev. Delvin D. of Hinton; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Fayetteville Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Withers officiating. Burial will be in Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, and one hour prior to service at the church.
