Alden S. Loudermilk, 76, of Murrells Inlet, S.C., formerly of Hurricane, died Jan. 1, 2005, at St. Mary's Medical Center, following a short illness.
Alden was born Jan. 5, 1928, in Rainelle, W.Va., the son of the late Jesse A. and Noka Surbaugh Loudermilk.
Mr. Loudermilk was preceded in death by his wife, Mary V. Welcher Loudermilk.
Mr. Loudermilk was a retired truck driver for McLean Trucking for 35 years. He also was employed by Sunways Tour Lines, Surfside, S.C. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include a daughter, Sheila Treadway of Hurricane; a son, Jess "Jay" Loudermilk of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; grandchildren, Libby A. Cobb and Stephanie J. Treadway of Murrells Inlet, S.C., Tiffany Loudermilk of Culloden, W.Va., Robert Treadway Jr. and Nichole Carmichael of Hurricane, W.Va.; and a great-granddaughter, Halie Dawn Nicole Loudermilk.
Mr. Loudermilk will be cremated. There will be no services.
