Clarence Huffman, 63, of Rainelle, died Thursday, May 7, in a Low Moor, Va., hospital of an apparent heart attack.
Born April 8, 1918, he was a son of the late George and Grace Morris Huffman.
Mr. Huffman was a retired coal miner and a member of the Rainelle Moose Lodge.
His wife, Nina Huffman, died Dec. 6, 1980.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Ann Lockhart of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Youth Ella Covas of Brook Park, Ohio, and Mrs. Brenda Sue Patrick of Caldwell; four sons, Robert of Rupert, Jerry Wayne of Lewisburg, Clarence Jr. of Columbia Station, Ohio, and Michael Lee of Richmond, Va.; a stepson, Franklin Surbaugh of Parkersburg; seven sisters, Mrs. Velma Giger of Wellsburg, Mrs. Emogene Johnson of Brunswick, Ohio, Mrs. Joyce Carpenter of Brook Park, Ohio, Mrs. Magdelene McQurry of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Lillian Bailes of Snow Hill, Mrs. Hilda McQuain of Sylvester and Mrs. Virginia Nutter of Crichton; four brothers, Harry Huffman of McRoss and Woodrow, Billy and Franklin Huffman, all of Snow Hill; 29 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday in the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home chapel in Rainelle with the Rev. Pearly Orndorff officiating. Burial was in Wallace Memorial Cemetery in Clintonville.
