CHARLES THEYLA JOHNSON, 69, OF Rainelle, Greenbrier County, died Dec. 27, 1988, near Corliss, after a short illness. He was a member of Highland First Church of God, Rainelle. He was a retired salesman formerly working for Jewell Tea Co. and Standard Coffee Co. Surviving: wife, Kathleen "Kay" Shawver Johnson of Rainelle; daughter, Carolyn Hunter of Rainelle; sons, Charles L. of Rainelle, Jerry A. of Tampa, Fla.; sisters, Retha Belcher of Crichton, Corinne Haynes of Charmco; four grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Highland First Church of God, Rainelle, with the Rev. Vondie Cook and the Rev. J.D. Surbaugh Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle.
