Daley McClung, 76-year-old retired farmer, who had lived at Orient Hill for the past 21 years, died at his home September 16. He was a son of Andy and Sara Walkup McClung. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mattie Price McClung; seven daughters, Mrs. Mary Allen, Crawley; Mrs. Virgie Hizer, Richmond, Va.; Mrs. Maggie Querry, Snow Hill; Mrs. Olive Jones, Orient Hill; Mrs. Lucy Haynes, Nettie; Mrs. Annie Howser, Winchester, Ohio; Mrs. Dorothy Smith, Orient Hill. Also surviving are six sons, Andy, Charlie, Dayton and Denvin all of Orient Hill, Rockford, Charmco, and Leonard of Bruce, and one sister, Mrs. Allie O'Dell of Orient Hill; 44 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Orient Hill Baptist Church Sunday with Rev. V. C. Miller and Rev. P. A. Orndorff officiating. Burial in the Rock Point cemetery near Quinwood.
