Dr. Homer C. Jarrett Jr., 88, a respected Charleston dentist for more than 40 years, passed away on March 22, 2006, in Radford, Va.
Dr. Jarrett was born in Charleston on Jan. 28, 1918, the son of Homer C. Jarrett Sr. and Myrna Fisher Jarrett, both deceased. His wife, Lee Ann McCutcheon Jarrett; a brother, Marion F. Jarrett, M.D.; and a sister, Nan Jarrett Price, all preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughter, Joy Jarrett Carnahan of Snohomish, Wash.; sister, Ella May Jarrett Walker of Charleston; stepdaughter, Linda Short of Narrows, Va.; seven grandchildren; two stepgranddaughters; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Walker's Memorial Park, Summersville, on Saturday, April 8, at 1 p.m. White's Funeral Home, Summersville, will assist with the arrangements. Condolences may be sent via e-mail to alegria@verizonmail.com.
