JAMES BERNARD MCCUTCHEON, SR., 55, of Phoenix, formerly of Summersville and Charleston, W.Va., died Oct. 29, 1989, at home after a long illness. He attended Greenbrier Military School, Nicholas County High School and West Virginia Wesleyan College. He was a former president of Bancwest Mortgage Co., a former vice president of Arizona Bank, former assistant cashier of Kanawha Valley Bank, chairman of the board and co-owner of Deines McCutcheon Co., a director and past president of Arizona Mortgage Bankers Association and a member of Shadow Rock Congregational Church. Surviving: wife, Patricia Martin McCutcheon; sons, J.B. Jr. of. Phoenix, Robert of Midland, Texas; daughter, Ruth Ann Neville of Long Island, N.Y.; sisters, Lee Ann Jarrett of Charleston, Martha Perilli of Summersville; brother, L.N. "Buzz" of Summersville; three grandchildren. Service was 2:30 p.m. Nov. 2, 1989, in Shadow Rock Congregational Church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to James B. McCutcheon Memorial Research Fund, University of Arizona Cancer Center, 1515 North Campbell Ave., Tucson, Ariz. 85724.
