  The Charleston Daily Mail, 4 January 1968 EAST RAINELLE - Ulysses Grant Crane, 79, died Wednesday at his home in Rupert after a long illness. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Beaver Creek Baptist Church. Survivors: wife, Bertha May; sisters, Mrs. Bessie Scruggs of Kieffer, Mrs. Mattie King and Mrs. Mae Hunter of Rupert; half sister, Mrs. Annie Sanford of East Rainelle; brothers, Billy W. of Montgomery, Loman of Elton; half brother, Wade Hunter of East Rainelle. The body is at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home here. The Charleston Daily Mail, 5 January 1968 CRANE, Ulysses Grant Crane - Service Sunday at 2 p.m. in Wallace-Wallace Funeral Home at East Rainelle by the Rev. Leroy Crane.
