Dwight ?Lindy? Baldwin, 73, of Clintonville passed away Tuesday December 8, 2005 at CAMC General Hospital after a short illness.
Mr. Baldwin was born August 1, 1932 at Spring Creek, WV and was the son of the late Lional and Stella Nicholas Baldwin
Lindy was a graduate of Williamsburg High School, was a heavy equipment operator for Leckie Smokeless Coal Company, served in the army during the Korean War, was a retired member of the UMWA, and was a member of the Sinking Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Christy Dawn Baldwin.
He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife of 48 years Emma Jane (Hoke) Baldwin and eight children; daughters, Catrina Smith and her husband Larry of Clintonville, WV, Charlotte Stevens and her husband Andy of Roanoke, VA, Cara Baldwin and her partner Karl Lore of Clintonville, WV, Crystal Baldwin and her fiancé Burl Burns of Clintonville and Coleen Johnson and her husband Tony of Clintonville; sons, Rick Martin and his wife Nora of White Sulphur Springs, WV, Lionel Baldwin and his wife Ann of Frankford, WV and Carl Baldwin of Clintonville; sisters, Arta Lee Nutter and her husband Calvin of Clintonville, WV, Laura Sarver and her husband Denny of Lewisburg, WV and Ruth Priddy of Ronceverte. Nineteen grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren
Services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday December 13, 2005 at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor Robert Hefner officiating. Burial will follow at the End of the Trail Cemetery at Clintonville, WV
Visitation will be Monday December 12, 2005 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Wallace & Wallace funeral home in Lewisburg.
