- Raleigh Co., WV MB 19, p. 358 lists a marriage license dated 24 April 1926 between Gove D. Canaday (age 27) and Minnie Cozort (age 29, born in Summers Co.). There was no minister's return and the marriage never took place.

Mrs. Minnie Acord
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday for Mrs. Minnie Acord, 62, who died at 8:15 a.m. today at her home at Crab Orchard following a year's illness.
Rites will be held in the Bethel Church at MacArthur with the Rev. Johnny Spencer in charge. Burial will follow in the Cannady Cemetery at Glen View.
Born Sept. 26,1898, at Surveyor, she was the window of Floyd Acord.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Freda Balaskey, Crab Orchard, and Mrs. Alice Halliwell, Calloway Heights; a son, Gove Cozort, Crab Orchard; four stepchildren, Mrs. Bessie Cook, Crab Orchard; Willard Acord, Canton, Ohio; Ira Acord, Baltimore, and Tom, Glen White; two sisters Mrs. Carey Worles, MacArthur, and Mrs. Virginia Phipps, Marfrance; two half sisters, Mrs. Nora Berry, Beckley, and Mrs. Goldie McGowan, Pennsylvania; and five grandchildren.
The body will remain at the Webb and Neal Funeral Home until the hour of the service.
