CRAWLEY - Fannie Thomas, 92, passed away Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, in Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, following a short illness.
Born March 12, 1910, at Crawley, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Mamie Thompson Smith.
Mrs. Thomas was retired from the Crawley General Store and attended Sam Black United Methodist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Thomas; a daughter, Jean Dorsey; two brothers, Everette and John Smith; and four sisters, Thelma Hall, Willie Shiltz, Louise Hall and Juanita Pitsenbarger.
Survivors include a special niece who was a foster daughter, Jo Pitsenbarger of St. Albans; three grandchildren, Terri Fishman, Jeanie Morrison and Richard Dorsey Jr.; and five great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Wallace Memorial Mausoleum, Clintonville, with Pastor Dana Gatewood officiating and J.W. Puckett giving the eulogy. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
Friends may call at the time of service Sunday at the mausoleum.
