  The Beckley Register-Herald, Beckley, WV, Online Edition, 14 Dec 2009 NETTIE - Roy Dale Skidmore, 77, of Nettie, formerly of Rainelle, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 12, 2009, at Heartland of Rainelle, following a long illness. Born March 3, 1932, in Rainelle, he was the son of the late Charles Okey and Luna Esther Spencer Skidmore. He retired as a grocery store manager for A & P Stores, and was of the Baptist Faith. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Dennis, Raymond, and Paul Skidmore. Survivors include his wife: Eleanor Louise Sanford Skidmore of Rainelle, W.Va.; 1 daughter: Cheryl Altizer and husband Nolan of Rainelle, W.Va.; 2 sons: Roy Allen Skidmore and wife Judy of Willow Springs, N.C., and Mark Lee Wayne Skidmore and wife Donna of Summersville, W.Va.; 1 sister: Mildred Louise Friend of Lorrain, Ohio; 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at Wallace & Wallace Chapel of Rainelle with Rev. Eddie Goddard officiating. Burial will follow at Downtain Cemetery, Nettie, West Virginia. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home. Arrangements by Wallace & Wallace of Rainelle.
