CHARMCO - Dr. Loraine Walkup, 49, formerly of Orient Hill, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, at home following a long illness.
Born March 19, 1953, at Quinwood, she was the daughter of the late Ray W. and Agnes Hazel Martin O'Dell.
Dr. Walkup graduated from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg. She served a two-year residency at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was a member of Orient Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James Roy Walkup Sr.; two sons, James R. Walkup Jr. and his wife, Misty, of Quinwood and James M. Walkup of Orient Hill; a sister, Patsy Block of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Ronnie O'Dell and Steve O'Dell, both of Columbus; and two grandchildren, James R. Walkup III and Tia Dawn Walkup.
Service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Orient Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Luchsinger officiating. Burial will follow in Orient Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle.
