ORIENT HILL — Margaret J. Whisman, 88, of Orient Hill, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011, in the Heartland of Rainelle following a long illness.
Born January 7, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Ethel Osborne Fleshman.
Margaret worked as a factory supervisor for the local tent factory and clothing factory in Rainelle and Aides Department Store. She was a member of the Sewell Valley Baptist Church in Rainelle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Whisman; her daughter, Ellen Forren; two brothers, Paul and Basil; and four sisters, Eva, Ruth, Beatrice and Drema.
Survivors include four sons, Michael and wife Myrna of Rainelle, Herschel and wife Candace of Rainelle, Gene (Fritz) and wife Janet of Orient Hill, and Joel (Jody) and wife Kathy of Rupert; one son-in-law, Roy (Sam) Forren of Meadow Bridge; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all the care providers at Heartland of Rainelle for the wonderful loving care that was provided for our mother.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, in the Rainelle Cemetery, with Pastor Mike Whisman officiating.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at the funeral home.
