Beverly Ann Carlson, 53, passed away April 5, 2010 at home in Olympia, WA with family and friends by her side after a long fight with breast cancer.
She was born May 25, 1956 in Hillsboro, OR to Henry and Dorothy Heuer. Bev graduated in 1974 from Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, OR. She was formerly married to Doug Carlson of Olympia and had one son, Jacob Carlson, 15. Bev and Doug remained close friends and worked together to raise their son.
She was employed by Batdorf & Bronson Coffee Roasters for the past several years as a Customer Service Manager. Bev enjoyed any activity involving her son, as well as trips to the beach and to Disneyland. She also enjoyed a good cup of coffee.
Bev is survived by her son Jacob Carlson, her sister Debbie (John) Ganger, her brother Henry (Sandy) Heuer, and her former husband Doug Carlson. Other survivors include her aunt Kathy Kane, nephews Ryan and Nick Losli, Randy Heuer, her niece Ashley Munoz, and a great- nephew, Leo Munoz, along with her extended family that included numerous friends.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Batdorf & Bronson Coffee Roasters family for their compassion and continual support. A celebration of life will be held Friday, April 23, 2010 at 11am at South Sound Manor, 455 North Street SE, Tumwater, WA 98501. A reception will follow. The family suggests memorial donations on behalf of Bev and Jacob be made to "Relay for Life". Condolences maybe left online for the family at www.funeralalternatives.org.
